RECORD SALES MEAN THERE ARE ONLY A FEW HOMES LEFT AT THE RIDINGS
The Ridings, in Longridge, seen a record year of sales after completing on 33 homes and securing 40 sales since December 2022 (compared with 22 sales the previous year).
Almost 90% of homes sold at our Whittingham Road development have been to first timers and we’re putting this down to the development’s location and proximity to amenities.
Prospect Homes’ head of sales, Sam Palin said: “We’ve made great progress at this development and welcomed lots of new homeowners, many of whom have bought a home for the first time. A lot of our customers have said they wanted to move to the area because they wanted to live somewhere with easy access to the outdoors but within easy reach of the shops and restaurants in Longridge.
“We’ve only got three homes left at The Ridings and the buyers of the last few homes will move into a readymade community. One of our homes is ready to move into straight away too so perfect for anyone who needs a home sooner rather than later. The other two homes will be ready to move into by the summer.”
The four-bedroom detached Bembridge is currently being sold with 12 months mortgage paid (up to the value of £10,000), plus carpets and turf.
This property, that is ready to move into, has a spacious lounge at the front of the home plus a kitchen/dining area with French doors into the garden. There is also a separate utility room and W/C. There is also an integral garage.
Upstairs the main bedroom comes with an ensuite shower room and the further three bedrooms share a family bathroom. This house is priced from £285,000.
The last two properties are expected to be ready to move into in July and are both three-bedroom homes.
The Heather is priced from £250,000 and the Herriot is priced from £255,000.
Sam adds: “Selling the final homes at The Ridings will mark the end of an era. We started building homes here in early 2018 and have helped numerous first-time buyers to get onto the property ladder – as well as families wanting to live in a great area. During the pandemic, we were able to adapt the way we worked on site so there was minimal impact on the delivery of homes and that has had a knock-on effect with our completions and getting our customers in as smoothly as possible.”
All of the remaining homes come with solar panels installed as standard, meaning homeowners could save 30% a year on their energy bills, equating to approximately £340 per year*. This is in addition to new builds saving homeowners £3100** per year on household bills compared to older properties.
The development offers a great location, close to Longridge town centre and less than 10 miles from Preston city centre, making it ideal for commuters.
