DEVELOPER SUPPORTS LONGRIDGE SCHOOL WITH HYGIENE ESSENTIALS
Prospect Homes has delivered Covid essential items including wipes, gloves and hand sanitiser to Barnacre Road Primary School to ensure they can continue to provide a safe learning environment for pupils.
The developer, who is building three and four-bedroom homes nearby at The Ridings, wanted to support the school as it continues to educate children despite major challenges from Covid-19.
Sam Williams, head of sales at Prospect Homes said: “Navigating through this very strange time has been something everyone has had to adapt to, especially schools. We had previously worked with Barnacre Road Primary School when we launched a design competition with the children and so wanted to ensure we could support them with items they will be using every day to keep everyone germ free and safe.”
The Lancashire and North West housebuilder delivered the Covid kits that will be distributed around the school’s nursery, infant and junior year groups.
Deputy headteacher, Fiona Heppenstall said: ““Prospect’s gift of hygiene kits will be incredibly useful to us as we’re going through a lot of resources trying to ensure that
we can protect staff and children from Coronavirus. The hygiene kits will help ensure desks and classrooms are as hygienically clean as possible.”
All profits from the sale of Prospect Homes are given to Riverside to finance their social value work and support some of the most vulnerable in the community. Through this reinvestment of money, Prospect Homes has also helped an initiative set up by Riverside that funds community grants for good causes and groups who work to reduce social isolation, a problem many have experienced during the pandemic. The grants support people with training, tackling food poverty, volunteering and employment.
