We have donated £500 to a local Air Cadets squadron to help upgrade its ageing IT equipment, ensuring young people can continue gaining valuable qualifications and life skills.
352 (Burnley) Air cadets have received £500 from our Community Roots scheme, linked to our Hollinsgate development in the town. It’s one of four local groups to receive a donation.
The squadron, which currently has 58 cadets on roll, has been able to purchase five new devices to replace outdated equipment that is increasingly unreliable and slow to load essential programmes, causing delays to lessons and limiting the cadets’ ability to reach their full potential.
Flight Lieutenant Laura Turner Officer Commanding 352 (Burnley) squadron said: “Having access to modern IT programmes gives our cadets the chance to build realworld, transferable skills that will stay with them throughout education and into their future careers. We’re truly grateful for this donation. These new laptops will remove barriers, speed up learning and help every cadet reach their full potential.”

Nia O’Sullivan, head of sales and customer service added: “The Air Cadets play a vital role in developing confidence, discipline and practical skills in young people. We’re proud to support the squadron in improving its IT resources and helping cadets access the tools they need to succeed.”
We’re building 200 much needed homes at Hollinsgate. Prices start from £280,500 for a three-bedroom home. The show homes are open Thursday–Monday from 10am to 5pm.
